Garment Construction
For a lifetime, not a season
There's no question that fashion has a large environmental impact, which is why we strive to design our garments with more sustainable materials. However, we believe that one of the most effective ways to make fashion more sustainable is to create items with longevity in mind. All of our items are designed and created to be durable, utilising manufacturing methods such as twin-needle stitching and we use no plastic trims (buttons, zippers, etc). If your garment does need repairing or altering, we also offer free alterations and repairs which are performed in-house at our Melbourne showroom.
However, it's not only the way our garments are manufactured that promotes longevity, but the way they are designed. We are not led by typical fashion seasons or fast-moving trends. Instead, we focus on timeless styles across both our footwear and clothing, in the hope that the item you buy from us today, will be a loved item in your wardrobe for years to come.
Our footwear
Our footwear is hand manufactured in Brazil. We're proud to use what was the world's first all-vegan shoe factory meaning we can guarantee that absolutely no trace of leather or animal-based glues can make its way into our footwear.
Our denim
Hand-loomed in Japan using recycled cotton and constructed in Hong Kong, our denim specialists have worked with many known and loved brands over the last 50 years.
Specialising in raw and selvedge denim, our experienced makers help us with our commitment to sustainability by recommended the most environmentally friendly production methods and help us utilise remnant fabrics that would otherwise be discarded of and sent to landfill.
Our clothing
Our outerwear and garments are made in China by an incredible company who share our vision to incorporate more sustainable materials and practices into the manufacturing process. With access to some of the most progressive fabrics, including hemp, recycled cotton, recycled nylon, recycled polyester and tencel, we are able to create beautifully made, durable garments, using materials that can be challenging to source in other locations.
